The System Transformation team within the Ministry of Health is looking for Advisors/Senior Advisors to support the development and implementation of the new disability support system in the MidCentral region on a fixed term basis.

 

The System Transformation work is an exciting time for disability services as it will significantly change the way we currently support disabled people so they have more choice and control over their support and lives.

As a Senior Advisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Working with the disability sector to develop the detailed design of elements in the new disability support system in MidCentral
  • Providing feedback on the end to end process to ensure the new disability support system works for disabled people and whanau.

 

We are looking for people with a strong understanding of disability, disability rights, the Enabling Good Lives vision and principles and some knowledge of the work of the System Transformation to date. Successful candidates will be self-starters who are results driven and can work well as part of a team. You will find that your lived experience of a disability and the disability support system will provide you with a strong background for delivering against the requirements of this role.
