Job Specification

We are looking for an IT Service Desk Analyst with a background in supporting Government systems.   We will consider full time or two part time staff to cover this role.

It is a challenging position in an organisation that is going through a major change in its delivery of ICT services to meet the Ministry's future needs.

The position reports to the Service Desk Manager, Ministry Infrastructure and Systems which is part of the Technology and Digital Services Group responsible for the management and implementation of the Ministry's information systems.

Ideally you would have successfully completed your ITIL Foundation certification, if not you may be working on obtaining this qualification.  A relevant tertiary qualification in computing would also be desirable.

Your communication and analytical skills will enable you to contextualise situations so that issues can be viewed within a Service Management and business setting.  You will be comfortable working collaboratively with a range of staff from both a technical and business background across a Ministry.  Experience working within the Health Sector or a large government organisation would be advantageous but not essential.

In return, we offer a modern working environment where you will be involved in providing great customer service to staff at the Ministry with guidance from a supportive team.
