The Office of the Director-General (ODG) of Health is responsible for Government and Ministerial services, Internal and External Communications, and provides support to the Director-General of Health, Ministers and the Executive Leadership Team. The office also supports the Chief Science Officer.
 

We're looking for an Advisor to join our Internal Communications and Stakeholder Engagement team! 

 

As an Advisor, you'll contribute to the communications plans for specific business units and initiatives, ensuring alignment with the overall communications strategy across multiple channels.  You'll draft and help disseminate Ministry-wide internal communications, and report on the effectiveness of the business unit communications plans to better anticipate communications needs and opportunities.

 

To be successful, you'll be a well-seasoned communications professional and experienced in the development, implementation and management of social media, and managing media enquiries.  It goes without saying you're a strong communicator and able to quickly build relationships at all levels of the business.

The Ministry of Health is the Government's principal advisor on health and disability policy.  Our job is to protect the health of New Zealanders and, through leadership of the health and disability system, we help New Zealanders to live well, stay well and get well.  We work with the health and disability sector to manage a programme of work that supports the Government's priorities.
