Are you an experienced criminal fraud investigator looking for a new challenge?
Audit & Compliance is a specialised unit of the Ministry of Health responsible for Counter-fraud, Audit and Risk Management activities in relation to over $6 billion of annual payments to health providers. We are seeking an experienced Senior Investigator to join our Auckland based investigative team. The investigations group has staff located in Auckland, and Christchurch.
As a senior Investigator you will be responsible for advising, mentoring and coaching investigative staff whilst managing the more complex and serious investigations assigned to the Auckland office. Some domestic travel is required as part of this role.
To be successful in this role you will have:
At least 10 years' experience in managing complex investigations through to prosecution;
Extensive knowledge of criminal fraud law and other statutory requirements;
A good understanding of the health sector environment and issues relating to funding and performance
Proven leadership experience
Strong communications skills and the ability to promote good relationships
Ideally you will have Police Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) experience or similar investigative training.
