We are looking for a motivated Analyst to join our team of technical specialists in delivering health services for New Zealand.
This role offers you challenging and interesting opportunities to continue to develop your analytical and modelling skills, and to develop your health sector knowledge further. You will complement the competencies and skills of a team of multi-disciplinary technical specialists. This involves providing input into key projects that work across the Ministry and the wider Health Sector.
As our Analyst you will work as part of a professional, committed and passionate team to undertake evidence based analysis across a number of exciting areas. You will bring knowledge in using a range of approaches to deliver a high quality and timely service to a variety of stakeholders.
To be successful, applicants need to demonstrate:
A passion for analytics and data
Experience in successfully providing input into a technical project
Experience in writing code in SAS to extract, manipulate and analyse data, or can demonstrate that you could learn it fast and have equivalent skills in another language like R, SQL, SPSS, Stata, or Python, etc.
Ability to conceptualise and model complex issues and options using intervention logics.
Experience in presenting complex information to suit a variety of audiences (technical and non-technical)
Relationship management skills including the ability to develop strong professional relationships with people from different professional and technical disciplines
Ability and willingness to learn fast.
Ideally you would have experience in using data visualisation techniques to making large and/or complex data more accessible, understandable and usable
