Primary Care Team, Community and Ambulance, Integrated Service Design, Service Commissioning
Permanent full-time role, Wellington based
A strong primary health care system is central to improving the health of all New Zealanders and reducing health inequalities between different population groups. Our primary health care system needs to: support people to live well, stay well and get well; ensure people understand and are able to access the care they need; provide care closer to where people live and work and; keep people at the centre of decision-making.
If you are an enthusiastic, passionate person with lots of energy and a keen interest in working to help improve health outcomes, then read on as we would love to hear from you.
We are looking for a new Advisor to join the Primary Care team. This is an ideal opportunity for you if you are wanting to share or advance your understanding of the primary care health system; contribute to service design and implementation; be part of a busy collaborative team; and make a strong contribution to a key health priority.
It would be an advantage if you:
- are a skilled oral and written communicator
- engage well with internal and external stakeholders
- have relevant tertiary qualifications
- have skills in understanding and analysing data and
- can demonstrate an ability to work both independently and as part of a team with a flexible, ‘can do' attitude.
You will also ideally have an understanding of the health and disability sector (primary health care sector an advantage) and/or experience in working in central government.
