Vacancy on Health Responsible Authority – Psychotherapists Board
The health responsible authorities are established under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 (HPCA Act).Their purpose is to protect the health and safety of members of the public by providing mechanisms to ensure that health practitioners are fit and competent to practise their professions. The Minister appoints a variety of people to responsible authorities.
On behalf of Hon Dr David Clark, Minister of Health, we are currently seeking applications/nominations for the following positions:
Two health practitioner members
- Two layperson members
Please note that any applicants for a health practitioner member position must be registered in New Zealand; and applicants for a lay member position must not be, or be qualified to be, a health practitioner.

To nominate someone, or apply yourself, the following are required:
a declaration form for the relevant position, completed by the candidate for the relevant position (attached)
a covering letter, detailing your/the nominee's experience that is relevant to the Psychotherapists Board and why the position is of interest to you/them
- a current CV.
Nominations/applications must be made using the Ministry's online Career centre and close Friday, 15 June 2018.
