Are you a well-regarded, experienced pharmacist looking for a new professional challenge?
Here is a great opportunity for a motivated Advisor to join the Medicines Control branch within Medsafe. Medsafe is the New Zealand Medicines and Medical Devices Safety Authority, and is responsible for the regulation of therapeutic products in New Zealand.
As an Advisor, you will work as part of the Medicines Control branch to maintain the integrity of the distribution chain of controlled drugs and medicines in New Zealand. You will have particular responsibilities for licensing and auditing activities under the Medicines Act 1981 and the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Current registration as a pharmacist in New Zealand with an Annual Practising Certificate
At least three years post-registration experience in pharmacy practice in New Zealand
A high level of professional integrity, self-motivation, flexibility and responsiveness
Excellent oral and written communication, including the ability to present complex issues clearly and concisely
Excellent prioritisation skills and an ability to work under pressure
A New Zealand drivers licence
The ability to travel throughout New Zealand on a regular basis
