Seeking a Group Manager to lead data and analytics teams within the Ministry of Health
We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Manager Health and Disability Intelligence to join us on a 6 month fixed term basis, leading work to inform evidenced based policy.
This role needs to ensure the provision of thoughtful, expert and relevant data and insights, leading and providing oversight of key projects and managing risks. You will be working with senior leadership in setting the parameters and direction of the work for the group, keeping the momentum across the development of our data and analytics function to lift capability, whilst representing Health and Disability Intelligence across the Ministry teams, our Executive Leadership Team and the sector.
To be successful in this role, you will:
have a proven ability to influence others at a senior level in order to achieve outcomes impacting on the organisation, and strong intellectual leadership capabilities with an ability to draw on a range of frameworks and analytical methods
be a highly experienced, highly motivated self-starter, who is looking to work in a results focused environment which requires agility, flexibility and confidence working with ambiguity
have proven experience in working in a large government agency as part of a dynamic Senior Leadership Team
have substantial experience in leading complex pieces of work or projects and the management of staff. Experience of working in a matrix/agile project management environment would be highly desirable
be able to manoeuvre through complex political situations effectively and be sensitive to how people and organisations function
have highly developed written and oral communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate clearly, concisely and in plain language to a variety of audiences
display a strongly collaborative style and be committed to ensuring an equity approach is taken to all aspects of work
- Have a relevant tertiary or other relevant education
