Vacancies on the Medical Sciences Council
The Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand is one of sixteen New Zealand health regulation authorities appointed by the Minister of Health under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 (the Act).
The Council is responsible for the administration of the Act in regard to two different health professions - the profession of medical laboratory science and the profession of anaesthetic technology.
On behalf of Hon Dr David Clark, Minister of Health, we are currently seeking applications/nominations for appointment to a number of health practitioner member (Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Pre-Analytical Technician, and Anaesthetic Technician) positions on the Medical Sciences Council.
Please note that applicants for health practitioner member positions must hold a current registration as either a Medical Laboratory Scientist, a Medical Laboratory Technician, a Medical Laboratory Pre-Analytical Technician or Anaesthetic Technician in New Zealand, and preferably be currently practicing.
Applicants from across New Zealand are welcome.

completed declaration form for the relevant position (attached)
covering letter, detailing your experience that is relevant to the position and why the position is of interest to you
current curriculum vitae.

provide a covering letter, detailing your nomination, including the nominee's experience that is relevant to the position, and why the nominee would be suitable for the role
a declaration form (attached), completed by the candidate for the relevant position
the candidates current curriculum vitae.
Nominations/applications must be made using the Ministry's online Career centre and close Friday, 24 August 2018.
