We're looking for a Manager, Facilities, to join our Corporate Services directorate. This is an important role providing management and oversight of our Facilities and Property related functions across the Ministry.
You will have responsibility for managing our nationwide property portfolio including lease management, procurement of regional services, asset management and property reporting requirements. You will also manage any property contractors engaged to deliver on specific property projects, ensuring they are delivered using robust project management disciplines.
The Ministry applies Activity Based Working Principles within most of its offices, and some knowledge and experience of flexible working would be advantageous. You will need to be an advocate of Activity Based Working with our staff and support its successful delivery.
You will manage the Office Services team who provide reception support, mailroom, stationery, and building maintenance services.
To be successful in this role you will have sound knowledge of facilities and property management disciplines backed up by relevant experience within a government agency.
An ability to prepare robust business cases and briefings to our Executive Leadership team will be essential.
This is a busy and varied role and you will need to hit the ground running. Managing multiple deliverables and competing demands, you will remain calm under pressure and be outcome focused. You will report to the Group Manager, Operations.
