The Financial Strategy and Funding team, in partnership with various units within the Ministry, provides strategic leadership and direction on the best use of resources across all aspects of Vote Health spending, to ensure the Ministry is enabled to deliver greater value from its long-term investments, resource prioritisation, and decisions.
As our Principal Advisor, Investments, you will lead the development of the Ministry's Long Term Investment Plan and Asset Management Framework. To be successful you will work with many parts of the organisation, bringing together a combination of collective people knowledge, data, strategy, and policy into one integrated investment story for the Ministry. We are looking for an outstanding collaborator who is a master at influencing and shaping positive outcomes for both the Ministry and wider health sector.

Essential experience, skills and qualities
Experience in developing investment plans for large and complex organisations.
Strong knowledge and understanding of asset management processes and frameworks.
Proven experience in the interface between strategy development and operational delivery.
The ability to challenge and question the ‘status quo' (i.e. processes and systems) and facilitate the development of innovative and workable performance improvements.
Strong planning and financial skills, with extensive knowledge and experience in capital planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A tertiary qualification in a relevant field, i.e. Commerce, Accounting, Economics.
