Advisor, Workforce Strategy and Policy, Health Workforce
Do you want to be part of ensuring New Zealand has the health workforce we need, now and in the future? Would you like to use your critical thinking and analysis skills to provide advice on health workforce issues? We're looking for someone who is ready to step up to join our busy team in the Health Workforce Directorate here at the Ministry of Health.
Health Workforce is the lead Ministry business unit for developing and providing policy advice on health workforce issues. The Workforce Strategy and Policy team provides advice on health workforce development, training and regulation to support New Zealanders receiving the best care possible in our health system. We work across the Ministry, the sector and with other government agencies to ensure the health system has the right people in the right place with the right skills to provide the safest care and best outcomes for our population.
This is a varied and interesting role where you will work on a range of issues facing the health workforce. This could include advising on workforce training, attracting and retaining health professionals or regulating for public safety.
If you have experience in developing policy advice, analysing information or writing for Ministers and are a team player with great written communication skills, we'd love to hear from you.
