Programme Manager– Pay Equity Project
12 month Fixed Term opportunity
Unique leadership opportunity to contribute your management expertise in an organisation making a difference to the lives of Older People and Disabled People through the implementation of significant change in the Home and Community Support sector.
The Health System Improvement & Innovation unit support the ongoing work relating to the Pay Equity and In-between travel settlements for care and support workers.
The programme of work for the business unit is adapted annually to deliver on government's current strategies and priorities and to target populations with the greatest need such as Maori. As government's health targets are met, the focus changes to new targets and opportunities for improvement.
The focus of this role is to manage some significant change in the Home and Community Support sector. Namely, the management of a programme of work to implement Guaranteed Hours for home support workers, and the ongoing management of travel payments to support workers.
It's an opportunity to work with senior staff from the Ministry, Unions, NGOs, and DHBs involved in the programme.
The reason for vacancy is due to the need to implement the In-Between Travel settlement.
To be successful in this role you will have:
A genuine commitment to providing a quality service to all customers.
An ability to develop solutions to complex problems.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information.
Intermediate level knowledge and experience of Contract Management and a good understanding of Finance.
