The Sector Engagement and Strategy team within the Health Workforce Directorate provides support and systems to engage with the sector on workforce opportunities. This includes a close working relationship with the Health Workforce Committee, advisory groups and regional directors of workforce.
This role will support the Directorate to provide high quality, timely support to the work programmes.
The Programme Coordinator will be expected to provide highly effective programme coordination and support for projects, including:
- project and work planning and reporting
- maintaining project and work plans and updating project logs and registers
- updating monthly reports and supporting other reporting requirements
- programme support including minute taking and organising external stakholder meetings
ensure activities for each work programme are appropriately coordinated, prioritised and actioned across the directorate
- other duties as requested to facilitate the running of the team such as assisting Ministerial information collection requests, particularly that pertain to Parliamentary and Select Committee questions, and Official Information Act requests
The Programme Coordinator will be required to work with project teams, team leads and sponsors to ensure planning, tracking and successful delivery of projects. Specifically this will involve:
taking full responsibility for the definition, documentation and successful completion of projects ensuring that realistic project, quality, change control and risk management processes are maintained.

To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate to us your experience in programme coordination roles within a multifunctional organisation. You'll be experienced at using project management processes and tools, have a thorough knowledge of business principles and practices.
