The role of Manager of the Office of the Deputy Director General is a new role that is responsible for the provision of support to the Deputy Director-General and business support to the wider directorate.
It's an exciting time to join our team as we embark on supporting sector-wide technology transformation. Our aim to provide an interesting, dynamic and rewarding workplace.
You will have a sizable portfolio of work to manage, along with the development and implementation of a variety of workstreams. Your team will ensure the smooth and efficient day to day running of the Office of the DDG and deliver reporting and insights that significantly contribute to our performance, informing decision making and improve underatanding of what our directorate does and the value it provides. You will always have your finger on the pulse when it comes to continuous improvement across the our directorate.
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate sound leadership, and the ability to engage and influence others through story. You will be people centric, and focus on growing and developing capability within your team through the use of coaching and mentoring. An understanding of the machinery of government is important when it comes to responding to the minister's office, and providing quality briefings and OIA responses. As a highly effective communicator, you will have an eye for detail and be able to concisely and succinctly get your point of view across verbally and in written form. We're really looking for a ‘go getter', someone who is super organised, planned and outcome focussed, and who can operate effectivley in a fast paced environment and navigate the challenges that come with this.
