The role of Organisational Strategy, EMPO and Performance is a new role that is responsible for supporting the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to develop the Ministry of Health's organisational strategy, undertake strategic planning, and provides assusrance and performance reporting so that ELT can effectively govern the execution of the strategy. The role provides leadership of Enterprise Progamme Management Office, which supports the Ministry with delivery of its strategic portfolio and is responsible for the delivery of the Ministry's accountability documents and oversees the delivery of central agencies strategic planning, reporting and review requirements.
To be succesful in this role you will be able to demonstrate operating in a strategic role where you have worked in collaboration to lead, develop, plan and implement a range of strategic initiatives, monitor and report on progress. This includes managing the production of streams such as the statement of intent, output plans and annual reporting. You'll operate like an architect pulling a variety of activites together, interpreting information and facilitating outcomes. Your ability to engage and influence others through the use of story and/or metaphors will be at an advanced level. As a highly skilled manager you will be people centric, nurturing your team to develop their capability and deliver quality outcomes across the Ministry. If you have project management skills that would be ideal to assist with implementation, however not essential.
