Kaitiakitanga - We lead the Ministry's response to its obligations to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Māori health aspirations and requirements, and equity in health outcomes for all New Zealanders.
The Manager of the Office of the Deputy Director General Maori Health provides support to the Deputy Director General and business support to the wider directorate.
You will enjoy a varied day as you could be developing and/or maintaining annual business plans, to developing process improvement or coordinating Parliamentary questions and responding to Offical Information Act requests or ministerials. You will operate at a strategic level and have strong relationship/leadership and influencing ability to get things across the line. A high level of experience in process improvement is required and highly developed written and verbal skills. A sound understanding of tikanga Māori and te reo is ideal, along with an understanding of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi application in a commercial environment.
