You will be joining an analysis, modelling and reporting team that sits within the new Evidence, Research and Innovation Directorate of the Ministry of Health. Te whainga poto o tēnei tūranga – What is the purpose of this position?
As an analyst in the Service Analysis and Modelling team, you'll use your data analysis and coding skills to deliver insights and regular reports, working closely with the rest of the team and with our internal customers, across a variety of subject areas within health. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and learn from experienced colleagues.

What you'll bring to the role:
- a curious and analytical mindset
- problem solving skills and an enthusiasm for learning
- desire and ability to learn to write code in R, SQL and/or SAS
- knowledge of, or a commitment to, learning and understanding Te Ao Māori, to help us deliver effectively for Māori communities
- a tertiary qualification in a quantitative subject such as stats, economics, or psychology or experience in data analysis
- passion for improving the health of people in Aotearoa New Zealand
