Our mahi ensures New Zealanders are cared for by a health system that is innovative, future focussed and world leading.

The Strategy Group within the Strategy, Policy and Legislation Directorate ensures that across Manatū Hauora – and across the whole health system – we're taking a strategic approach to everything we do. Bring your people management experience as you lead and support key teams within the Strategy Group which will lead work to develop, embed and implement new multi-year approaches to setting direction, priorities and funding for health.
This includes:
- For the Manager of the Investment and Funding Strategy Team, leading the cross-system programme to agree multi-year funding for health at Budget 2024.
- For the Manager of the System Accountability Team, leading the development of the first Government Policy Statement for health to set multi-year priorities, expectations and measures for entities.
- Both teams will also contribute to the wider strategy and policy work of the Ministry and health system, leading and convening virtual groups.
