The Office of Radiation Safety team is responsible for administering all the ins and outs of the ionising Radiation Safety Legislation – a fascinating and vibrant area of work. The team sits within our Regulation and Monitoring Directorate which supports and promotes innovation and continuous system improvement through quality commissioning and policy, effective regulation and evidence-based decision making.
Ko ake mahi - What you'll do
You will be responsible for providing high quality Regulatory Coordinator support to ensure that medical and non-medical users of ionising radiation comply with the legislation. You will be working with the team in Wellington to help with assessing licence applications, issuing consents, manage diaries, setting up meetings and take minutes. You will be strongly supported by your colleagues but will have some flexibility in working independently with internal and external stakeholders supporting their understanding and needs around safe use of ionising radiation.

- Good prioritization skills and an ability to work under pressure in an ambiguous and dynamic environment

- Experience working in an environment that requires a high level of discretion, sensitivity, and interpersonal interaction at an executive level
