The Digital and Information Services group is responsible for ensuring the Ministry effectively uses information and technology to support its role in the health system.
Ko ake mahi - What you'll do
The Senior Business Architect ensures an enterprise perspective is applied to bring together a single view of the business systems and process and lead the design of a simplified digital services portfolio.
In this role you will consider high level common processes and functions across the Ministry of Health and between Health New Zealand, and support the Cloud & Security architect to identify, validate, and articulate the benefits of moving to a more streamlined, simplified digital services portfolio.
Some of your day-to-day work will involve:
- Assessing and mapping business processes, capabilities, and functions
- Developing and implementing framework to streamline common business processes
- Facilitating workshops to foster collaboration and understanding across silos

- Demonstrated experience in IT technical domains, solution development, and technical leadership
- Deep knowledge of current and emerging data and digital trends in at least two domain areas
- Proven track record in developing sustainable, reusable high-quality technical solutions
- Ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex technical issues to a range of audiences – here this will include clinical, government, senior management, and the public.
