Te Aho o Te Kahu, the Cancer Control Agency, provides national leadership for and oversight of cancer control.
Te Aho o Te Kahu takes a whole-of-system focus on preventing and managing cancer and oversees system-wide prioritisation and coordination of cancer care in New Zealand. It is accountable for ensuring transparency of progress towards the goals and outcomes in the National Cancer Action Plan. Te Aho o Te Kahu is equity-led, knowledge-driven, person/whānau-centred and outcomes focused.
The Programme Group encompasses three key areas within the organisation: Data and Analytics, System Performance and Innovation, and Knowledge Translation and Implementation. This dynamic group plays a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of the organisation by harnessing the power of data and analytics to inform decision-making, ensuring optimal system performance and fostering innovation, and facilitating the effective translation of knowledge into actionable initiatives..
We seek a highly capable coordinator to be part high functioning teams in the Wellington office.
Ko ake mahi - What you'll do
You will work with 2 other coordinators within the group and have responsibility for providing high quality administrative coordination for the teams you support. across other teams and actively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders both internally and externally.
Ko pūkenga - What you'll bring
You will be a seasoned coordinator, willing to step into whatever is needed, enthusiastic, confident and ideally have knowledge of the machinery of Government. In addition, you will need to demonstrate:
- Previous experience in an administrative and coordination role
- Advanced skills in the MS Office Suite and ideally Mural and Asana
- The ability to manage your own workload and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines – a self-starter, always looking to see what else you could be offering in terms of support and service to your teams & projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Minute taking, meeting organisation, travel booking, ad-hoc support requests, invoice processing, printing & scanning (as needed)
- Excellent organisation and interpersonal skills, with experience of event planning an advantage
- Excellent attention to detail, and work well as part of a team and willing to proactively offer support across a wide range of tasks
- Understanding of Māori tikanga and kawa
- Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Band 14g has a salary range of $64,756 - $84,811. The salary offered will be based on skills and experience.
