Ko tōu ake mahi - What you'll do
We are seeking a passionate Advisor – Māori Health Business Partnering to join our dedicated team working to advance hauora Māori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and equity across the Ministry of Health. In this role, you will provide operational support to strengthen organisational capability to achieve pae ora (healthy futures) for Māori.
- Collaborate with Principal and Senior Advisors to deliver high-quality, specialised hauora Māori, Te Tiriti, and equity advice and solutions.
- Build and manage trusted relationships with people leaders, fostering effective communication and guidance across directorates.
- Gather and analyse data to provide sound strategic and operational advice for project management and decision-making.
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of projects, programmes, workshops, tools, and frameworks to drive organisational success.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver impactful outcomes that align with the Ministry's priorities.
Ko ngā pūkenga ōu - What you'll bring
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster good stakeholder relationships
- Experience in working effectively as part of a team
- Proven organisational skills with the ability to think ahead, prioritise and meet deadlines whilst preserving high levels of accuracy and confidentiality
- Knowledge and understanding of central government, ministry and ministerial settings, and hauora Māori
- Knowledge of Te Ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Understanding of equity and addressing differences in population health outcomes
