- Salary midpoint of $105,270 actual salary dependent on your experience

Join a dynamic team committed to strengthening Māori Crown relationships and advancing Māori health outcomes. As a Senior Advisor, you'll play a key role in supporting governance relationships, providing high-quality advice, and ensuring strong engagement with whānau, hapū, Iwi, Māori communities, and key stakeholders. This is an opportunity to apply your expertise in Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Māori health to influence meaningful change.
- Strengthen Māori Crown relationships by supporting engagement with whānau, hapū, Iwi, and key stakeholders.
- Provide high-quality advice on Māori Crown relations, including Iwi/Māori Accords and relationship agreements.
- Apply Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles to ensure equity and Treaty obligations are embedded in all work.
- Support governance and ministerial relationships to align Māori health priorities across the Ministry and health sector.
- Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders using diverse engagement channels.
Ko ngā pūkenga ōu - What you'll bring
- Tertiary qualification in a health or relevant field and/or equivalent stakeholder, iwi, and Māori community engagement experience
- Ability to operate in te ao Māori contexts, including understanding of tikanga, kawa and te reo Māori
- Knowledge and experience in Māori Crown relations, Treaty settlement relationships, Māori health or a relevant field
- Proven organisational skills with the ability to think ahead, use initiative, establish priorities, and meet deadlines whilst preserving high levels of accuracy and confidentiality
- Previous experience in applying critical thinking and using sound judgement to develop options and provide advice
