Job Description

- Wellington based position with a midpoint of $79,653 dependent on experience
Ko tōu ake mahi - What you'll do
Our Statutory Appointments & Integrity team is responsible for support, maintenance and improvement in the delivery of high-quality work programmes. This position is key to ensuring the Ministry's role in overseeing the appointments process to health and disability sector agencies in a timely, organised and effective manner. This is a 12-month fixed term contract.
In this role you will:
- Provide high-quality advice to ministers on statutory appointments
- Manage the end-to-end statutory appointment process for a number of health sector board appointments,
- Develop and improve processes, tools, and frameworks,
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- Proven organisational skills with the ability to think ahead, use initiative, establish priorities and meet deadlines whilst preserving high levels of accuracy and confidentiality
- Critical thinking and sound judgment to develop options and provide advice
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to tailor complex messages to a range of audiences
- Understanding of Government processes and systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster good stakeholder relationships
It is a requirement to be based in Wellington to perform in this position.
