The Advisor - Office of the Director, provides advice to support and enable the delivery of high quality work programmes.
The National Immunisation Programme have a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic and hardworking advisors to join our team. You do not need years of on the job experience but you will bring a strong work ethic, an eagerness to learn and outstanding writing skills. Working within the Office of the Director, you will be at the centre of the Programme responsible for all immunisation activities in Aotearoa, including the COVID-19 vaccination campaign.
Mō tō mātou rōpū – About our team:
The purpose of the Office of the Director is to support the work of Director of the National Immunisation Programme, and to provide cross-directorate shared service expertise & services. The group encompasses the following key functions: Reporting, Correspondence, Programme & Project Management, and Business Support.

Te whainga poto o tēnei tūranga – What is the purpose of this position?:
The Advisor provides advice to support, maintain and improve the delivery of high quality work programmes.
The Advisor works closely and collaboratively within the National Immunisation Programme and across the Ministry to ensure timely information and advice is provided for decision-making.
On a day to day basis you will be preparing high quality and timely responses on topical issues to key stakeholders and members of the public on behalf of Ministers and senior Ministry leaders.

- strong analytical ability and written communication skills
- ability to juggle competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
- excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills
- a relevant tertiary qualification
