Do you have experience in pharmaceutical Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and are you interested in a role with variety? Can you put your highly developed technical and problem solving skills into practice, auditing manufacturers of therapeutic products?
We are seeking a technically qualified person with the necessary skills to undertake audits of a range of medicine manufacturers and to provide technical advice on manufacturing issues identified with medicines distributed in New Zealand.
Medsafe is the New Zealand Medicines and Medical Devices Safety Authority and is responsible for the regulation of therapeutic products in New Zealand. The Compliance Management Branch within Medsafe is responsible for the post-market surveillance of therapeutic products, the management of medicine and medical device complaints and recalls, investigation and enforcement and medicines manufacturing quality.
You will have extensive experience in GMP and possibly in an audit capacity. You are likely to have a sound technical knowledge of, and familiarity with, the manufacture of pharmaceuticals. Based in Wellington, you will be required to travel on a regular basis within New Zealand and, at times internationally. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and have the ability to manage relationships at all levels. You will need to have the ability to analyse complex technical information to provide advice to a wide range of audiences.
In this position you will be able to manage your own workload, be willing to contribute to a peer review system, and work as part of a well-motivated team. You will likely be qualified in an area of chemistry, pharmacy, engineering or a related discipline, have good computer skills and an interest in medicines.
